Taylor's Woods, Menomonee Falls (jsonline)
During the 2004 Parade of Homes, Chris Kappl saw a piece of land at the
Taylor’s Woods parade site he had to have. “The price was right
and I knew someday that’s where I’d build my dream house,”
Kappl said of the beautiful topography of the land.
Carl Tomich, owner of Westridge Builders, was the developer of the
Taylor’s Woods subdivision. “It’s a beautiful piece of land
that backs up to a golf course,” he said. “The 118 lots sold in
about nine months.”
Kappl looked in Brookfield and Hartland for a suitable homesite on which to
build his dream house. Hartland was too far out, he said, and there was
nothing to his liking in Brookfield. Taylor’s Woods, located in the city
of Menomonee Falls, is bordered by Silver Spring Dr., Lisbon Road and Town
Road, and only 20 minutes from Milwaukee and 20 minutes from Lake Country.
The elevation of Kappl’s nearly one-acre lot gives unfettered views of
the horizon. “Our house is on a hill and gives us great views —
including fireworks on the 4th of July from multiple communities,” said
Kappl’s spouse, Krissy. “We like the area — there are
